A Little Bit About Me

Candi Randolph, founder of Stage the Next DIY Home Staging tips

From a very young age I always wanted to create…Barbie doll wardrobes, craft my own clothes, play the piano.  I’m a thinker, a ponderer, an organizer as well.  The combination of personality traits and inherent creativity gives me the ability to convey a message…a skill…a set of how-to’s…that are practical and helpful.

A rewarding business career

I enjoyed a successful banking career, 25 years actually, in my home state of Michigan. Entry level position to Vice President, then SVP of a start up bank. That was very challenging and lots of fun.

Over the years I managed a number of retail branches, Human Resources and conducted the bank’s Training program as well. All of these experiences have helped me to learn how to communicate with people in a way that they understand and can apply in their own life.

A Passion for Decorating

The ‘other side’ of me has always been active too, with my creative outlet being the piano for many years.

In 1995 I made the decision to start taking my career in a different direction and pursue my love of decorating. I graduated from the Sheffield School of Interior Design in New York, and spent several years working in a small design studio in Michigan.

Our move to Florida in 2006 was the point in my life where I opened my first business, Simply Designed, an Interior Decorating and Home Staging venture. It has flourished and persevered in good times and through down turns.

A season of loss

They say that life experiences mold you into the person that you are, or become, and that has been true for me.

I have been so fortunate to have met my soul mate, the love of my life, and was able to spend 20 wonderful years with him. Not perfect years…life doesn’t work that way…but still the best years of my life.

When I lost my husband on New Years Day, 2016, it was the single most significant life-changing event I have experienced. My faith in the Lord has kept me going, putting one foot in front of the other. And you know what? Even that experience has enabled me to understand and communicate with people more effectively.

Who I am today

All of these life and career experiences have shaped me into the person I am today. I decided that it was time to share my knowledge of Home Staging with the good folks who want to sell their home themselves as well as budding entrepreneurs who aren’t sure if Home Staging is the right path for them.
